Bogor, Tuesday, August 27, 2024 – Wafi Fest 2024 was officially inaugurated today at Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School for Girls in Bogor. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Yossi Ahmad Falah, S.Sos.I, M.Kesos, Assistant Deputy for Youth Character Development from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, who delivered an inspirational message to the students. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of enthusiasm in becoming a memorizer of the Qur’an. “Stay motivated to be a Qur’an memorizer, so that you will become part of the golden generation of 2045,” he encouraged all participants and attendees.
Dr. Ali Saman Hasan, Lc., L.L.M., the supervisor of the Yayasan Bina Wafi Indonesia, also delivered a speech filled with messages about the importance of character education. “Character education, whether in a pesantren or boarding school, is the foundation for creating a society with strong character. The ideal education has been exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad SAW,” he stated. His presence, along with the Foundation Chairman Dr. Marullah Marzuq, LL. M., M. Ag., and other officials, as well as the dewan mudir, asatidz, teachers, mentors, and all students, highlighted the significance of the event.
Wafi Fest 2024 will take place over three days, from August 27 to 29, 2024. This annual festival, organized by Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School for Girls, aims to develop the students’ potential comprehensively. Moreover, the event provides a platform for students to showcase their talents and interests across various fields. The competitions held during Wafi Fest will involve participation from various schools, both from within and outside the Jabodetabek area.
With Wafi Fest, all students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and achieve accomplishments while sharpening their skills and reinforcing the Islamic values that form the foundation of education at Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School.
