Sudanese Ambassador to Indonesia Visits Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School for Sudanese Students’ First Exams

Depok, July 28, 2024 – Dr. Yasir Muhammad Ali Muhammad, the Sudanese Ambassador to Indonesia, attended the inaugural examination session at Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School’s Campus B. This event supports Sudanese students who returned home following conflicts in Sudan, designating Al Wafi as a central exam location in Indonesia.

The exams involve students from several Southeast Asian countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, China, and Thailand. In addition to Indonesia, exams are being held simultaneously in other designated countries, including Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Comoros, and various locations within Sudan.

Other prominent attendees included Dr. Abu Bakar Ali Bakheit, Dean of Islamic Studies at the International University of Africa (IUA) and Official Delegate for the Examination Center in Indonesia. Key representatives from Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School, such as Dr. Ali Saman Hasan, Lc., LL.M., M.A. (Foundation Advisor) and Dr. Marullah Marzuq, LL.M., M.Ag. (Foundation Chairman), as well as senior scholars from the pesantren, were also present.

This event marks a significant step in ensuring the educational continuity of Sudanese students in Indonesia and reinforces the educational ties between Sudan and Indonesia.
