Depok, July 4, 2024 – On the second day of the Islamic Study Session (Daurah Islamiyyah) organized by Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School at Kuwait Mosque, participants had the opportunity to attend Friday prayers led by Dr. Wail bin Fawaz as the khatib (preacher). In his sermon, Dr. Wail bin Fawaz addressed the theme of the greatness of Allah.
Dr. Wail bin Fawaz is a prominent scholar from the Islamic University of Madinah, holding a doctorate in hadith and teaching at the UIM Faculty of Hadith. In his sermon, he emphasized the importance of monotheism (tawhid) and the recognition that the greatest act of worship in the sight of Allah is to glorify Him. He explained that the Names and Attributes of Allah are vast and magnificent, urging every servant to reflect upon and understand His greatness.
He also reminded the congregation to avoid arrogance. Dr. Wail bin Fawaz asserted that glorifying Allah can be manifested through obeying His commands and steering clear of all His prohibitions.
The sermon was delivered clearly and was attended by over 300 participants who came from various parts of Indonesia. They listened attentively and reverently, enhancing their understanding and awareness of the importance of glorifying Allah in daily life.
The Daurah Islamiyyah will continue until July 8, 2024, providing participants with the opportunity to further deepen their knowledge and strengthen their faith.
