Depok, July 8, 2024 – Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School has successfully held the Islamic Study Session (Daurah Islamiyyah) from July 3 to July 8, 2024. The event was attended by 430 participants from various regions in Indonesia, guided by prominent scholars.
Held at the Nidaul Islam Mosque and Kuwait Mosque of Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School, this session offered a comprehensive range of activities, including in-depth studies of Islam, interactive Q&A sessions, open dialogues, enriching workshops, and examinations to assess participants’ understanding.
Key Topics of Focus
Important topics highlighted in the Daurah included Fiqh (Islamic law), Arabic language, and Aqidah (belief). Participants had the valuable opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding of fundamental aspects of Islam.
Participant Reflections
One of the participants, Muhammad Mikhail Hakeem, expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm after participating in the event.
“My motivation for attending this Daurah is to seek knowledge and gain new experiences,” Mikhail stated. For him, this was his first experience attending a Daurah with scholars, and he felt immensely grateful for the knowledge he gained.
Mikhail further shared that the Daurah had a significant positive impact on him. “After participating in this Daurah, I feel closer to Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala,” he revealed. By studying religious knowledge more deeply, he felt he better understood the Sharia and was increasingly drawing closer to the Creator.
He also expressed his hope that future Daurah sessions would continue to develop and expand. Mikhail wishes that more people could benefit from these activities and that more knowledge could be shared by the scholars.
“I hope that the next Daurah can include more sessions with the scholars so that we can gain even more knowledge,” Mikhail hoped. He also expressed a desire for future Daurah sessions to be organized even better.
