Depok, July 4, 2024 – The first day of the Islamic Study Session (Daurah Islamiyyah) with scholars from the Islamic University of Madinah at Nidaul Islam Mosque and Kuwait Mosque, Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School, began with a discussion on purification (thaharah). This first session was delivered by Dr. Wail bin Fawaz at 7:35 AM, attended by over 300 participants from across Indonesia.
Dr. Wail bin Fawaz presented materials on thaharah from the book Umdatul Ahkam. The session began with an explanation of the hadith on intention, emphasizing the importance of intention in every action performed by a Muslim. Following this, Dr. Wail continued with a discussion on thaharah, or purification, which is a fundamental concept in Islam.
The discussion then progressed to the topic of wudhu (ablution), where Dr. Wail explained the steps and requirements that must be met for wudhu to be valid. The materials presented were clear and accompanied by strong evidences, providing a deep understanding for the participants.
This session offered profound insights to attendees, including Muhammad Fauzan Abiyyu, a representative from Al Irsyad Tengaran Pesantren originally from Bekasi. Fauzan expressed that the first session was very beneficial in deepening their understanding of the concept of thaharah and proper wudhu in accordance with hadith guidance.
In the second session, Dr. Fahd Isa continued with a discussion on Aqidah (creed). The materials covered the foundations of faith and beliefs that every Muslim must possess, providing clear guidelines for practicing their faith.
