Islamic Study Session with Scholars from the Islamic University of Madinah Opens at Kuwait Mosque, Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School, Depok

Depok, July 3, 2024 – A solemn atmosphere enveloped the city of Depok this morning as renowned scholars from the Islamic University of Madinah arrived to open the Islamic Study Session (Daurah Islamiyyah). Their arrival was warmly welcomed by over 300 participants gathered at Kuwait Mosque, Al Wafi Islamic Boarding School, hailing from various regions across Indonesia.

The arrival of Dr. Abdullah bin Mubarak an-Nakhari, Dr. Fahd Isa, Dr. Wail bin Fawaz, and Dr. Adil bin Ali bin Ghanim was met with great joy by the students and attendees. Kuwait Mosque at Al Wafi witnessed this moment, where seekers of knowledge came together to delve deeper into the treasures of Islam.

The event saw attendance from over 300 participants from various parts of Indonesia. Among the guests present were representatives from the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Depok City, the Depok Police Chief, the Bojongsari Sawangan Police Chief, the Head of the Law Department of PULDAPII, several boarding school leaders, and foundation administrators.

In their speeches, the scholars emphasized the important messages regarding the role of a student of knowledge (thalibul ilmi) in understanding and practicing Islamic teachings correctly. They also highlighted the importance of maintaining a high spirit of learning in the pursuit of religious knowledge.

This Islamic Study Session will take place over the next few days, featuring various lectures and in-depth discussions on different aspects of religious knowledge. Participants will have a rare opportunity to learn directly from scholars with extensive experience and knowledge in Islamic studies.
